Every model at LittleCloud has a story. The concept of the Superfly was born in 2022 for a fairly demanding use in the Chapada Diamantina in Brazil, where Tom and Marcinha spend a lot of time.
In this beautiful but unforgiving environment, with no real backup options, they needed a wing that was high-performance, super safe, and ultra lightweight.
The Superfly Mk2 takes this concept and pushes it even further! An ultra versatile wing, but above all a flawless partner for even more incredible airborne adventures!
It’s a glider that will only ever surprise you with its capabilities!
A concept unlike anything else in paragliding.
Ambitious goals were set for this wing: high performance, a high level of safety, lightness and compactness, simplicity, and of course, super fun to fly!
The task of improving on the original version was tough, but Tom’s determination, along with his constantly evolving experience, made it possible to create a truly incredible machine!
The SuperFly Mk2 is available in 4 sizes: 17, 19.5, 22.5, 25.
The planform shapes and the arc are completely new, with an aspect ratio of 5.5, 45 cells in total, mini-ribs on the trailing edge, and a 3-line configuration.
The SuperFly Mk2 uses a new aerodynamic profile developed specifically for this model, combining high stability along the full speed range and performance while remaining communicative about the environment.
The Mk2 is lighter than the previous version, but still with no compromise on reinforcements. We didn’t want to save a few hundred grams there at the cost of reduced durability.
The risers are made of 12 mm Kevlar webbing, with an accelerator and baby A risers for big ears.
Some might wonder why not go with Dyneema risers… the answer is simple: the weight/volume savings are far too small (we’re talking a few grams!) compared to the loss in ease of use… the rigidity provided by the Kevlar webbing is a major benefit when setting up the wing.
The lines are entirely unsheathed Dyneema.
The wing is built entirely from 10D/27gr fabric for optimized weight and pack volume.
The SuperFly Mk2 is designed to fly with a relatively high wing loading while still remaining docile!
The performance is stunning — it’s a joy in thermals, as it handles low speeds very well, and its handling is unmatched!
Transitions are equally impressive, with a fairly high trim speed.
Handling is lively and precise, and the wing is extremely agile!
The sheer enjoyment of flying it is truly extraordinary!
Inflation has been made noticeably easier and faster in no-wind conditions, getting you off the ground in no time!
Inflation in strong wind remains a mere formality!
It comes with a lightweight quick-pack bag that lets you fit it into a backpack, ideal for your specific adventures, the 22.5 fits our 45l hike and fly bag with ultra light pod harness, jacket, helmet reserve…
The SuperFly is aimed at pilots with some experience.
Thanks to the addition of a larger size, the range of pilots it targets has grown.
It can now be used with wing loadings similar to other LC wings by pilots with less experience.
Depending on wing loading, the SuperFly Mk2 will take on a different character.
Lower half of the weight range: a calm wing with good float, speed similar to a paraglider, suited to intermediate pilots looking for ease of use.
Upper half of the weight range: more speed, sharper turns, suited to slightly more experienced pilots seeking a more dynamic machine with an incredible sense of piloting pleasure.
It’s an ultra-versatile wing that’s actually the ideal partner for traveling or heading off on an adventure.
With strong thermal capability, good penetration into the wind, and extremely playful handling, it can be used with a speed-riding wing setup for soaring and hike-and-fly, a pod harness or even a light submarine setup for cross country (though don’t expect to break 200km).
You have to try it to realize just how incredible this wing is!
There’s currently no wing on the market that comes close to the SuperFly Mk2 (well, actually there is — the SuperFly Mk1 😊)!
It’s not really a mini wing, and it’s not quite a paraglider either…
True to the LC philosophy, we’ve taken real responsibility for this wing’s exemplary behaviour.
